Our little princess...

There's nothing quite like a grandchild. Especially when she is a beautiful, smart, and vivacious little charmer like our Lorilie!

Fast, Chocolate, and Yummy!!

Here's one of the easiest and best deserts ever. Buy two cans crescent rolls and the big huge Hershey bar*. Break the chocolate bar into 16 equal pieces and wrap each one in a crescent roll. Pop in the oven at 350 degrees until golden brown.

Now here's where this recipe gets tricky. WAIT until they cool!! I cannot emphasize this step enough. Having given myself some serious burns of tongue, lips, and chin by not waiting, I can tell you from experience that the melted chocolate inside the crescent roll is HOT. Like molten lava.

*You can substitute any size Hershey bar or other chocolate candies that you like.

Sitting still...

Will Rogers said, “Even if you are on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.”

I feel like I'm just sitting here with my book. I'm not sure what to do next. I want it to succeed so badly for so many different reasons. I really believe it is a good book. Is it a great piece of literature, goodness no, I don't even aspire to that. It's just a good read with some great characters that seem to loved by all who read it. I feel like I'm letting them down. They are all there in the book just waiting to jump out and inhabit the mind of readers and I'm not doing what I need to do to give them that chance.
Maggie talks to me sometimes, she's very polite, but she is basically telling me to get off my duff and do something about it. She says, you've got to break some eggshells to make a meringue. I'm not even sure what that means, but...I know she thinks I'm not doing what I need to do.

I'm so glad I wasn't on that jury

I couldn't have done it. I couldn't have turned in a verdict of not guilty. Maybe what they did was what they had to do according to the law, but I couldn't have done it. How do you look at pictures of that beautiful little girl and allow the woman who killed her to go free? I've read that it wasn't easy for them and they were all crying when they turned their decision in. That at least is a good thing--somebody cried for Caylee. It seemed that her mother's only tears were for herself.
